TEKKEN returns to EGX Arena for the third year in a row – and the second year of TEKKEN 8 – at the duel MCM Comic Con and EGX 2025 event at the Excel Arena located by London Docklands from October 24th – 26th with a potential player cap of 128 entrants. The TEKKEN 8 tournament takes place on Saturday 25th October.
The tournament has a prize pool of £1000 – noticeably smaller than the previous years with EGX Arena 2023 having a prize pool of £5000 and the 2024 edition having a prize pool of £6000. The previous events were also listed as Major events in country and continent wide championships with the 2023 edition being a major of the Tekken UK & Ireland Championship and 2024 being part of the European TEKKEN Cup 3 whilst the 2025 edition is not part of any official league or championship.

TEKKEN 8 is not the only game, with EGX 2025 also serving as the finale for the Rainbow 6 : Siege Rainbow Rampage tournament with a prize pool of £7500 on October 24th and a Ultimate Beyblade X showcase on October 26th.
The EGX stage also had a disruption during the Winners Final in 2023, when a group of Just Stop Oil protestors stormed onto the stage, coating monitors and LCD screens with paint – with the activists being arrested for criminal damage and the tournament continuing after a short delay and a replacement of monitors.

Sign ups are still available up until the day of the event with entry being free but a EGX Weekend Ticket or Saturday Ticket required as entry to the event. Sign up details can be found on the EGX Arena Start GG page and details for tickets for EGX & MCM Comic Con available on the EGX Website.
