Fighting Game News UK was started in May 2025 by Wade White with the goal of putting a spotlight on the FGC within the UK to showcase the talent of organisers, players, and commentators from the multiple games and scenes within the wider UK fighting game community.

Wade has been a Tournament Organiser for Super Smash Brothers Ultimate since August 2019 with both East London Smash and DAT Team. He also wrote multiple articles for Esports News UK from October 2022 to April 2025 covering Super Smash Brothers Ultimate and Melee, Street Fighter 6 and Tekken 8 as well as non-FGC titles Dota 2 and Halo Infinite
